The Patriots are opening the regular season at home on September 12 against the Cincinnati Bengals. One member of the Bengals is already looking forward to not just the game, but how he will celebrate his first touchdown.
That Bengal is none other than Chad Ochocinco. He tweeted:
"If i am able to score week 1 in New England i will be taking the minute men rifle and firing as they do when the PATS score." (sic)
Ouch. Ochocinco has staged elaborate celebrations before, and is usually fined for them, but this is a new whole new level for him, both as a touchdown celebration and smack talk.
This is also the exact sort of trash-talking that revs the Patriots engines. The only thing Ochocinco has done is paint a large target on his back. If the Patriots allow the Bengals anywhere near the end zone, you can bet that Ochocinco will have a hard time getting open, or getting anywhere near the Minutemen.
As for the Minutemen, it's doubtful that they will hand over their rifles. If they didn't do it in 1776, they won't do it now.
