CT Sun in Home Stretch of Regular Season

The Connecticut Sun are in the home stretch of the regular season. After a grueling stint on the road, the Sun play five of their last seven games at Mohegan Sun Arena.

In fact, they were back at home Wednesday night when Sun Shekinna Stricklen posted a four-point play for a second time this season, and for a second time against the New York Liberty.

Wednesday night’s hoop and harm started the scoring for Connecticut. But back on June 7, Stricklen got the and-1 on a buzzer-beating three that clinched the win.

Stricklen found her footing as a starter last season, when the Sun struggled through a smattering of injuries. This season, she is finding her place wherever she’s needed, splitting her time as a starter and a reserve. But in her fourth year with the Sun, Stricklen says wherever she’s playing, she’s doing it with a smile on her face.
