Tom Brady Underwent a Second Super Secret Surgery Sometime Last Week

Life just keeps getting better for Boston. Well, aside from the "greatest comeback in Red Sox history", it actually doesn't. Tom Brady is the latest touch of kind of bad news, because he apparently underwent a second surgery last week to follow up on his original knee operation.

The Boston Globe reported Friday that the New England Patriots quarterback had the procedure Wednesday for an infection in his left knee that was operated on Oct. 6.

Brady's agent, Donald Yee, did not respond to a phone call or an e-mail. Calls to the Patriots and the doctor who performed the first surgery in Los Angeles, Neal ElAttrache, were not returned.

It's a little debilitating to realize that not only is Brady likely behind schedule, but that the first surgery just didn't go as well as everyone would have liked. Actually, that's fairly terrifying -- when your football franchise is in a total freefall and your fanbase is freaking out, the last thing you want to have happen is for your superstar quarterback dealing with a setback on his career altering knee surgery.

But that's what Boston is dealing with, which means more exciting paparazzi photos of Brady trying to move around various cities while dealing with crutches. Fun times!
