Kashif Moore Signs With Chargers

Former UConn wide receiver Kashif Moore has been busy since his college career ended in December 2011. He performed well at the NFL Combine and the Huskies' pro day but went undrafted in April. Still, he had teams clamoring for his services and signed as an undrafted free agent with the Bengals. Moore was let go in August but promptly caught on with the Colts where he landed on their practice squad. He lasted in Indianapolis for less than two weeks.

But there's good news: Moore was signed to the Chargers' practice squad on Monday.

During his Huskies career, Moore caught 126 passes for 1,699 yards and 13 touchdowns.

“All this has been a great experience and a great opportunity for me to play at the next level,” Moore said after being cut by the Colts in September (via PhillyBurbs.com). “You try to use it as motivation to keep working harder. When you’re on the practice squad, you never know. Any day you can go. You never know which day could be your last.”

Moore joins UConn teammate Kendall Reyes in San Diego. Reyes was the team's second-round pick last April. He's played in six games this season and has two tackles.
