Napier Still Excited to Be With Heat

ESPN caught up with Shabazz Napier, the former UConn standout who was drafted by the Charlotte Hornets in June before being shipped to the Miami Heat. At the time, it was unclear whether LeBron James would remain in Miami or take his ball and go elsewhere (he ended up returning to Cleveland). Napier spoke about both topics Sunday.

Thoughts on being picked by Charlotte and traded to Miami

"I still feel blessed," Napier told ESPN." I just think that this is a perfect situation for me with this great organization."

Thoughts while James was making his decision about where to play next season

"Honestly, I wasn't thinking anything. I was just trying to learn and adjust (to the NBA game) as quickly as I can. It's definitely different from college," he told ESPN.

Thoughts about playing for the Heat after James left for the Cavs

""Still the same. I felt like this organization was driven on winning championships and great tradition and that's what I came from. I'm still excited," Napier told ESPN.
