Tebow Time One More Time?

In typical Tim Tebow fashion, he saved the best for last. Sure, it was an otherwise meaningless preseason game. For Tebow, the former Heisman Trophy winner who's just trying to make the Patriots roster, it was a big performance.

By the time it was over, Tebow was 6 of 11 for 91 yards, 2 TDs and 1 INT. He also rushed six times for 30 yards. These aren't Hall of Fame numbers, but Tebow isn't a Hall of Famer. He's a guy on the bubble.

"I felt pretty good," Tebow said after the game. "I'll have to look at the film. [There's] one or two passes I'd like back: the interception, just a little bit of miscommunication, my fault, led him too far inside, so you definitely want that back. You don't want to have a turnover in that point of the game.

"But I felt like I was on a pretty good rhythm and pace with the receivers and I feel like we've been getting better every week."

So did he do enough? We'll know for sure by Saturday at 6 p.m. ET. For now, Tebow's just living in the moment.

"Nope," he said when asked if he's worried about his NFL fate. "I'm blessed because of my faith that I don't have to worry about the future because I know who holds my future. I don't want to use that as a cliche, but it's something that I try to live by. And it really gives you a lot of peace in whatever circumstances that you're in."

And what does coach Bill Belichick think about Tebow's chances? No idea. Not because he wasn't asked about it after the game but because he gave a typically Belichickian response.

BB: Whatever we do is what we think is in the best interest of this football team, the 2013 team, whatever that is at any position. We'll do what we think is best for the team.

BB: Whoever we keep will be because of the value they bring to the team.

Q: I'm asking specifically about him.

BB: The things we feel he can do that will help our team.
