Create-a-Card Contest Gallery 1: Your sick, twisted minds

In scouring through the first 70 or so entries in our Puck Daddy Create-A-Card contest, we were equal parts impressed, enthralled, disgusted and disturbed by the quality of the submissions. As usual, you've blown us away and reset the bar with every entry. This Bobby Holik of the New Jersey Devils card by Puck Daddy reader Jason S. is, without question, one of our favorites so far.

For the most part, it's like we said in the headline: you've got some sick, twisted minds out there. It's not like there aren't one but two Clint Malarchuk-inspired cards after the jump ...

The rules of the contest, once more with feeling: Original Photoshops and artwork creations only, and we'll publish as many entries many as we can. The Yahoo! Sports rules of profanity and PG-13 content apply. Deadline for submissions is Friday, February 13 at noon EDT. E-mail contest entries to puckdaddyblog@yahoo.com. Judges are Wyshynski, Leahy and a handle of Grey Goose. Enter as many times as you'd like.

Now, please take a gander at the first sampling of Puck Daddy Create-a-Card entries. And after yesterday's unpleasantness, let's be as clear as we can: The following images may not be suitable for all audiences, and we'll slap a little NSFW warning on there, too.

OK, once again -- some of the following images may not be suitable for all audiences. With that:

From Puck Daddy reader Brad comes this re-imagined Fleer card for former Buffalo Sabres goalie Clint Malarchuk, who ... well, we'll assume if you're reading this post you know what the dude went through. Points for creativity; brutal, sphincter-clenching creativity. Speaking of which:

Not going to lie: This Malarchuk/Garbage Pail Kids card from ROFL Sports' Mazarin completely crosses the line of bad taste in every imaginable way. We were actually aghast that someone had the stones to go there. Well, until this came rolling in:

The Olli Jokinen post-Richard Zednik throat slice card. What the hell is wrong with the world that we're blessed with ingenious readers like "sp4585" this kind of degenerate insanity from Puck Daddy readers like "sp4585" is allowed to go unchecked in our society?

OK, taking it down a few notches, this remix of that classic Eric Lindros baseball card from Score is nearly perfect; especially when you consider Lindros's head is still actually down as the re-positioned ball comes flying at his noggin. From Puck Daddy reader Kevin B.

We like the concept of a fictitious sports card series being invented for the contest. This Sean Avery/Dallas Stars one from Puck Daddy reader Jason is another "mythical series" card. He also sent over a Mike Commodore money shot card as well. Of course, if there's an Avery card ...

... there must be a Phuthbert card too, right? Second edition. Well-played, Puck Daddy reader Jon.

We've been getting a lot of these RPG card parodies, and many of them have been really killer because the jokes go beyond the image: "Eating Donuts: Don is extremely skilled in this department." From Puck Daddy reader Bill O.

Remember how we said "points for obscurity" in entering the contest? Puck Daddy reader Brendon knew what we meant when he combined infamous Baby Penguins streaker and current Colorado Avalanche property Nathan Smith with that infamous Boston vs. Calgary streaker. Brilliant.

Finally, Puck Daddy reader Jeff D.'s disturbing tribute to Flyers center Mike Richards and his "crying" about the referees' bias against Philly. Resemblance to comedian Jim Norton is coincidental at best.

Thanks to all of you that have already entered, and we eagerly await more. We'll post a second gallery of entries later on in the week; just because yours wasn't here doesn't mean it's not a contender.

Thanks again for reading, and you scare the living crap out of us.
