Puck Headlines: If a Sedin is overpaid, does the other feel it?

Here are your Puck Headlines: A glorious collection of news and views collected from the greatest blogosphere in sports and the few, the proud, the mainstream hockey media.

• News that Henrik and Daniel Sedin could be seeking upwards of $7 million apiece this summer continues to reverberate through the hockey world. Spector believes the number is closer to "$6.5 million each, while Canucks GM Mike Gillis is thought to be offering $5.5 million apiece." He also thinks Brian Burke could make a pitch to bring the twins to the Toronto Maple Leafs. Meanwhile, from Steven Ovadia: "I don't begrudge anyone their money, but what team can afford $14 million for two players? Someone needs to explain the salary cap system to the twins. Unless they're no longer that into playing with each other." Poppycock -- no one splits up the Swedish Wonder Twins. Form of ... complete overcompensation for complementary players! Shape of ... a higher annual salary than Roberto Luongo! [Puck Update and THN]

• Inspired by the NBA stars in the Summer Games, NHL players want to join the opening ceremonies of the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. Here's the rub: It may be up to each individual team to decide whether or not to allow their players will participate. Marty Brodeur shouldn't start carrying a practice torch just yet. [Sports Business Journal]

• Speaking of the New Jersey Devils goalie, Ryan Kennedy of The Hockey News believes that if and when Brodeur sets new standards for most regular season career wins and most career shutouts, "he will make those marks untouchable." Which is to say that Ryan Kennedy of The Hockey News believes there will never be another decade-long defensive era with a team that has 15 years of nearly uninterrupted success. Ask Terry Sawchuk about unbreakable records. Just don't expect a prompt response. [THN]

• NHL Network will have the Devils and the Chicago Blackhawks on Tuesday, as Marty goes for the wins record. Steve Lepore writes that NHL Network will follow Brodeur until he breaks the mark. Hopefully he tanks until the final game of the season; sure, it'll hurt the Devils' playoff positioning, but it'll be the most national coverage the franchise has gotten since the 2003 finals. • The Central Hockey League is accused of engaging in unfair labor practices. [Shreveport Times]

• Finally, the NHL presents a brief history of goal celebrations. Cool:
