Puck Headlines: OK, maybe Therrien didn't say ‘it's Sidney's team'?

Here are your Weekend Puck Headlines: A glorious collection of news and views collected from the greatest blogosphere in sports and the few, the proud, the mainstream hockey media.

(Ed. Note: As was pointed out in the comments, it appears the final verdict on Therrien's press conference is that he said "We'll see next game." Empty Netters, one of the sites we saw quoting the Penguins coach as having said "It's Sidney's team" has corrected the record. We regret the error in our own game of hockey blogosphere telephone, and have altered the headline on this post to reflect it.)

• Plenty of Sidney Crosby talk today, but we begin with a strange, cryptic comment from Pittsburgh Penguins Coach Michel Therrien. In last night's postgame press conference, after a 7-3 loss to the Maple Leafs, Therrien said "it was a bad game by everyone involved" before later saying "It's Sidney's team" -- the last thing he uttered before he walked away from the reporters. Check out the coverage from Pensburgh, which has the video, and Empty Netters, which comments "Uh, wow."

• As expected, Crosby broke Jaromir Jagr's all-star vote record. As expected, the story has gotten plenty of coverage in the MSM. As expected, the NHL didn't mention the extremely different voting methodology between today and 2000; or the inherent fraud that's been found throughout this voting year. Pathetic. [NHL]

• Uni Watch ranks the best and the worst of the NHL's third jerseys. Congrats to the Pittsburgh Penguins ... but the Atlanta Thrashers don't have the worst third jersey in the NHL? Seriously? [Uni Watch]

• Bruce "Malkin to the Kings" Garrioch presents the blockbuster trade rumor of the month: Marian Gaboik Kim Johnsson to the Thrashers in exchange for Ilya Kovalchuk and Colby Armstrong. Kovalchuk will love Lemaire hockey. Uh-huh. [Sun Media]

• A Cincinnati teenager is recovering in a hospital after getting an electric shock from a manhole cover after leading Saturday's Detroit Red Wings game. Well, something has to keep the alligators from climbing out. [Snapshots]

Boston Bruins Patrice Bergeron suffered his second concussion on that nasty collision with Dennis Seidenberg of the Carolina Hurricanes. (Video here.) GM Peter Chiarelli is encouraged by what he's been told about Bergeron's condition and he's out of the hospital. [Bruins Blog]

• With Vesa Toskala injuring his groin and Curtis Joseph battling a case of the sucks this season, it's Justin Pogge time for the Toronto Maple Leafs. Because, obviously, it can't be Tuukka Rask time. [CBC]

• Bummer for John Tavares's linemate Dana Tyrell, who injured his knee in an exhibition game and will miss world juniors for Team Canada. But coolness for Evander Kane of the Vancouver Giants, who was cut but is now back on the roster. [CBC Sports]

• Tyler Bozak will miss most of the regular season for the University of Denver. Boo. [CHN]

• The anthem singer in New Jersey's "O Canada" cue card:

• An interview with Kevin Dineen. Remember the Whale! [NHL Digest]

Karri Ramo is called up by the Tampa Bay Lightning, and he'll be playing behind a defensive corps that's clearly been one of the NHL's biggest busts this season. Way to go, Brian Lawton. [Bolts Report]

Teemu Selanne could miss up to six weeks after that self-inflicted thigh slashing. [NHL]

• The Top 24 most-viewed hockey videos on YouTube. We really thought the "Will It Blend?" with hockey pucks would be higher. [Fantasy Hockey Scouts]

Brian Rolston was signed to be one of the New Jersey Devils' top offensive weapons, and then he got hurt. But the free agent signee is earning the trust of Coach Brent Sutter. [Fire & Ice]

• Finally, Donald Brashear fought Riley Cote not once but twice yesterday in the Capitals' loss against the Philadelphia Flyers. Round One is what we like to call a curb-stomping 'round these parts:
