Video: If this were Little League, Cam Ward's your right fielder

So, did time stand still for Cam Ward of the Carolina Hurricanes as he surrendered one of the softest, strangest goals of the 2009 Stanley Cup playoffs? Or does it just seem to slow down for anyone viewing this Game 4 catching-glove fail?

Here's how Seth Rorabaugh of Empty Netters saw the Max Talbot goal, which gave the Pittsburgh Penguins a 2-1 lead:

1:29: Oh geez was that garbage. But the Penguins will take it. Talbot pushes the puck into the offensive zone against Babchuk. Talbot whips a wrister. Babchuk gets a piece of it. The puck flutters up in the air. Ward attempts to snag it with his glove but totally biffs on it. It tips off the top of his glove and into the net. That was awful. But it gives the Penguins a lead. Satan gets the only assists. Talbot shouldn't even get credit for a goal. The Penguins are 6-0 in the playoffs all-time when he scores. Penguins 2-1.

Said our own Dmitry Chesnokov on Twitter: "Ward must have borrowed Varlamov's glove." Ward should have borrowed someone's butterfly net.
