Close to 500 fans showed up outside Gampel Pavilion on Thursday to cheer on the University of Connecticut women's basketball team as it boarded a bus for the airport to begin the trip to Indianapolis and the team's ninth consecutive Final Four.
Guard Moriah Jefferson led the fans in a cheer and forward Breanna Stewart promised to bring back a trophy.
The Huskies (36-0) are riding a 73-game winning streak and a record-breaking 22-game NCAA Tournament winning streak as they seek an unprecedented fourth straight national championship and 11th overall.
They play Oregon State (32-4) in a national semifinal on Sunday.
