Celtics guard Ray Allen will be joining teammates Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce in the NBA All-Star game.
Allen has been named by Commissioner David Stern to replace injured Orlando guard Jameer Nelson in next week's game.
Allen will be making his ninth All-Star appearance. He also was an injury replacement last season and scored 28 points, helping the East to a 134-128 victory over the West in New Orleans.
Garnett was voted a starter by fans and Paul Pierce selected as a reserve.
Allen's selection may draw the ire of the Cleveland Cavaliers, who believed Mo Williams should have been an All-Star.
