St. Joseph defeated Wolcott 6-3 to claim the CIAC Class M baseball state championship on Saturday.
“It feels good, especially being a senior and all, we lost in the semi-finals the last two years before so it feels really good,” said Jake Murphy.
The Cadets have 12 seniors on the roster including captain Stephen Paolini.
“We’ve got the best lineup in the state and having all those guys behind you and getting this win, it just feels great,” said Paolini.
