The UConn baseball team defeated Houston to win the American Athletic Conference title on Sunday.
It is the team's first title since joining The American and fourth overall conference title in school history, according to UConn Athletics.
The 7-2 win over the Cougars in Clearwater, Florida, earned the Huskies the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. It will be the team's 19th-ever appearance in the tournament, but the first since 2013, according to UConn Athletics.
UConn learned on Monday it will face Georgia Tech in Gainsville, Florida, on June 3 for its opening series in the tournament.
