UConn Lands Recruit No. 3, DB Eddie Hahn

Commitments seem to come in bunches, and certainly holds this recruiting season.

Commitments seem to come in bunches, and certainly holds this recruiting season. The Huskies landed two high school players for the 2016 class last week -- quarterback Donovan Williams and wide receiver Keyion Dixon -- and got a third when defensive back Eddie Hahn announced Wednesday that he had committed to UConn.

Hahn, a 3-star recruit according to Rivals.com, played quarterback and safety at Red Bank Catholic High School in New Jersey. His relationship with coach Bob Diaco dates back to Diaco's time as Notre Dame's defensive coordinator.

"Coach Diaco recruited (former teammate) Quentin Nelson when he was at Notre Dame," Hahn told Scout.com before he committed to UConn. "So he was here for a long time recruiting Quentin, and I was able to get a good relationship then and just be able to say 'Hi' and talk football."

Hahn, who had offers from Buffalo and NC State, called Diaco "One of the most honest coaches that has recruited me." That's a great sign for a team in desperate need of good players as Diaco tries to refashion them into a legit FBS program.
