Williams, Griffin Houston Bound

Two more UConn Huskies heard their names called in the NFL Draft on Saturday, and both will be teammates again.

The Houston Texans used the 124th pick to select linebacker Trevardo Williams in the fourth round.

Williams had 42 tackles, including 13.5 for a loss and 11.5 sacks in his senior season for UConn, following his junior season when he had 12.5 sacks, which was good for fifth in the country.

UConn tight end Ryan Griffin joined Williams with the Texans when Houston selected him in the sixth round, with the 201st overall pick.

Griffin, the Huskies' most consistent offensive player in 2012. He caught 29 passes for 484 yards and six touchdowns his senior year.
