BILES GOES FOR INDIVIDUAL GOLD
It’s Simone time. After leading her team to gold in the all-around team event Tuesday, Biles is looking for an individual gold medal to call her own as she and 23 other women, including U.S. teammate Aly Raisman, will compete in the all-around final.
Coming to Rio as a heavy favorite, Biles has excelled under the pressure and the spotlight. Thursday she’ll have one final opportunity to shine.

LEDECKY, PHELPS LOOK TO CONTINUE GOLD RUSH

Katie Ledecky and Michael Phelps race the preliminary heats of their signature events, the 800m freestyle and the 100m butterfly. Phelps also goes against Ryan Lochte, likely for the final time, as the two face off in the 200m individual medley
Both Phelps and Ledecky have already won gold in Rio, but they’re hoping to add to their respective treasure trove as the world watches.

ROWING FOR GOLD
Rower Meghan O'Leary finished her first Olympic experience on Thursday.
She and her partner, Ellen Tomek rowed in the finals of the women's double sculls in Rio. They did not medal, coming across the line last in the 6-boat field.
O'Leary didn't pick up the sport of rowing until 2010 while she was working at ESPN in Bristol. Just six years later, she has a shot at winning an Olympic medal.
ROARING RAPIDS
Devin McEwan will also have a shot at a medal on Thursday. He is competing in the Canoe Slalom Doubles and has advanced to the semifinals.
The Salisbury native's late father also rowed in the canoe competition in an Olympics.

WATER POLO CONTINUES QUEST FOR BACK-TO-BACK GOLDS
The U.S. women’s water polo team, the reigning Olympic champions, continue play against China after a decisive win over Spain on Tuesday.
The team is attempting to become the first women’s water polo team in Olympic history to win back-to-back gold medals. If the match against Spain was any indication, the team remains focused on that objective, as the U.S. got goals from 8 of their 11 position players, including six different players in the first half.
