A Waterbury man who was charged with driving under the influence on Saturday night is in trouble again, accused of stealing his car back after police released him.
Police said Jermel Pierre Johnson, 32, of Central Avenue in Waterbury, walked to Farmington Motor Sports in Farmington after being released on a driving under the influence charge, broke into the towing facility and stole his car back without paying for the towing service.
Johnson was first arrested just after 10 p.m. on Saturday in Farmington and charged with operation while under the influence, drinking while operating a motor vehicle and drug paraphernalia.
On Sunday, he was arrested again in connection with the burglary charge.
Johnson was charged with third-degree burglary, sixth-degree larceny and operation under suspension.
Bond was set at $4,500 and he posted it, according to police.
He is due in court on Nov. 5.
