Jill Konopka joined the NBC Connecticut Troubleshooters in December of 2015. Her reports air week nights.
She is passionate about giving a voice to the voiceless. Grateful to be living a dream she set out to accomplish in the third grade.
Whether it's helping a local high school shop teacher find his beloved stolen Italian Perazzi shotgun. Or uncovering years’ worth of unreported allegations of abuse in Hartford Public Schools, that prompted a statewide report to repair a broken system, she is known for her preparation, persistence and pushing for the truth.
Jill spent seven years at the CBS affiliate in Connecticut prior to joining NBC Connecticut.
She was also a weekend anchor at WBRE-TV in Wilkes-Barre, PA. and reported in Rochester, NY, as well as Rapid City, South Dakota after landing her first gig as an associate producer in her native, Albany, NY.
When she's not breaking the next big story, you can find Jill teaching spin classes at LA Fitness or NYSC. Or signing up for her next marathon (she's run seven so far)! Her favorite activity outside of work is bikram yoga, and working on projects around her house.
