CT LIVE!: Skinny Cocktails for New Year's Eve

Blue Ice Director of Mixology Diana Kuen showed us how to make 3 festive cocktails. (Published Monday, Dec. 31, 2018)

2019 Blue Ice Vodka Skinny Cooler

    • 1.5 oz Blue Ice Vodka
    • 4 oz Pelligrino or Perrier
    • Splash of low cal beverage, i.e. diet cranberry juice or blood orange
    • Garnish with lime or Rosemary.

Blue Ice Vodka Skinny Holiday Mule

    • 1.5 oz Blue Ice Vodka
    • 2 oz diet ginger beer
    • Tsp lime juice
    • Rosemary or lime wedge for garnish
    • Champagne or sparkling wine

Pour Blue Ice and ginger beer over ice into a copper mug. Add in lime juice and stir. Then top with sparkling wine or champagne. Garnish with sprig of rosemary or lime wedge.

Blue Ice Vodka Lemon Rosemary Martini

    2 oz Blue Ice Vodka

No vermouth needed as the potatoes are so sweet and creamy you don’t need it. Vermouth option: pour a splash of vermouth into a martini glass and swish around to coat entire glass. Pour the vermouth out of the glass to get the essence without the calories. Add Blue Ice and ice in a shaker and shake until chilled. Pour chilled Blue Ice into the martini glass.

Lemon: Peel a thin slice of lemon rind. Squeeze zest from the peel over the drink. Run peel around the rim and place on the glass for garnish. Rosemary: Slap rosemary in your hand to release the oils, then place it in the martini. Place some pomegranate seeds on the bottle of glass to add a little festive color.
