Hanna Mordoh is NBC Connecticut’s morning traffic reporter.
You can see her every weekday morning from 4:30 to 7 a.m. then also out in the field reporting at 11 a.m.
Hanna enjoys the fast-paced position of being a traffic reporter and is proud to help Connecticut drivers get to their destination on time and safely. Hanna is also an award-winning journalist who enjoys storytelling as a general assignment reporter and filling in on the anchor desk.
Besides traffic, Hanna is passionate about investigative reporting. She honed her skills as a reporter at WLEX18 News, an NBC affiliate in Kentucky for three years. In Kentucky, Hanna worked as a night-side reporter and fill-in anchor in June 2013 and left in June 2016. Prior to that, Hanna started her career as a night-side reporter at KMIZ News in Columbia, Missouri for two years.
A story that resonates with Hanna is one when she stumbled upon a woman spending $3,000 at a Connecticut toy store, all for Toys for Tots. The generosity of the woman spread across the community after Hanna’s story aired and another $9,000 was donated to the good cause.
Hanna has a bachelor’s degree in journalism and criminal justice from Indiana University and a business minor from the Kelly School of Business.
When not reporting the news, Hanna resides with her husband and daughter Grace, along with their cat Simba and dog Ollie, enjoying the natural beauty and destinations in Connecticut.
