A New Haven police officer was killed in a car crash Friday morning in Las Vegas, the New Haven Police Department announced, and a second officer who was driving the car is facing charges.

The families of some homicide victims in New Haven say they feel the cases involving their loved ones aren’t getting as much attention as they should. Police say they’re working on improving communication and restructuring their investigative setup to get those families closure.
