Three weeks ago, video of two pigs fending off a bear who’d entered their pen went viral. Since then, the owner says, bears have been coming back frequently, prompting her and her son to install sirens and cameras and even to sleep in their own car next to the pigpen.

Rebecca Shaw and her son have gone great lengths to keep their pigs safe, even sleeping in a car overnight to watch them as their bear returns.
