There's a need for more people to raise puppies that become service dogs
The PenFed Foundation is partnering with Canine Companions to make sure veterans and people with disabilities get the service dogs they need. The wait time though can be up to two years because there aren’t enough people to raise the puppies before they go on to be trained.
