Can't Go to DC? Celebrate the Inauguration in CT.

We decided to bring the Inauguration party to you!  Below are a wrap-up of some Inauguration parties right here in Connecticut where you can take part in history in the making.  You keep sending them, we'll keep adding them.  Click here to tell us about a party we may have missed.


Avon-You can watch the live broadcast of the Inauguration from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. at the Avon Old Farms Inn.  And from 7 p.m. - 12 a.m. you can join in the true celebration.   It's $50 per person.  You'll enjoy the culinary delights of Executive Chef Nick Muce, as well as a sampling of President-elect Obama's favorites.  They'll have complimentary champagne and live entertainment by Steppin' Out.  Reservations are required.  A portion of the proceeds go to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Southbury- Borders bookstores in Southbury and other locations in Connecticut will have a Kids Party at 2 p.m.  They'll learn about America and democracy through a special party filled with events for kids and the family.  They'll also have a scavenger hunt and an official oath ceremony.

Madison- YOLO: You Only Live Once Live Beautifully is the new shoreline spa.  And they'll be hosting an Inaugural Bash at 7:30 p.m. at Cafe Allegre in Madison.  They're asking for a $40 donation.  The politically inspired menu includes Democratatuille, Chimichangas We Can Believe In, Yes We Cantaloupe and Barack Berry Fruit Salad, Baby Barack Ribs, Chicago-style Bruscetta, As American As Apple Pie, to name a few.  There will also be a DJ, raffles, and a live auction.
