Stir-Crazy Kids: What to Do With Them

Science Camp:

The Children's Museum in West Hartford has a different "camp" each day this week. It runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and costs $65. The schedule includes programs like Edible Science, Animal Safari and Crazy Chemistry.

Around the World:

Stepping Stones Museum for Children in Norwalk has several fun programs this week. The kiddies can make magical masks, listen to tons of toddler tales, learn about music from Trinidad, dance the limbo and watch a Caribbean version of Stone Soup.

Audubon Camp:

Get the kids outside for some fresh air by putting them through the Connecticut Audubon Society's vacation program. There are different themes each day, including animal tracking, winter outdoor skills and nature photography. The cost is $25 per day.

Winter Wonderland Vacation Camp:

Bring the kids to The Imagination Museum in Bristol for some fun winter activities, including making ice sculptures, building igloos, learning about winter animals, making ice cream and learning about the science of snow.  Prices start at $95.

Frivolous February Camp:

There's a fun and inexpensive camp going on in East Hartford this week for kids in grades K-6. They'll have all sorts of games, crafts and other "frivolous February" events. Best part? It's just $20 per day.

Connecticut Sportsplex:

The Sportsplex is open all week, providing some really fun entertainment for the kids. They have all sorts of indoor playscapes, not to mention laser tag and batting cages.
