Head out on any Connecticut road and it’s pretty clear we’re not the best drivers on the planet.
If we all had to take our written driver’s exam again, it looks like we would not even be the best drivers in New England.
Number 1 is the best, so 42 makes us pretty darn bad when put to the test on rules of the road.
This year, like in previous years, the Northeast ranks at the bottom.
So, there are 20 questions and Connecticut drivers who were questioned averaged 74.4 percent, worse than the regional average of 74.5 percent. The south, however, had the most failures – 41 percent.
There is also a gender divide. Men are more likely to pass than women. (Hard to believe, but that’s what GMAC says.)
What will probably surprise no Nutmegger who's done any driving on New York roads is that our neighbor to the south performed the worst in the county.
Give the test a shot. How did you do?
