10/11: Hip-Hop, Motown and Chowder

    Determined Triathlete Never Lost Hope
Savor the flavor of the sea at Mystic's Chowderfest.

GHOST STORIES:  It kind of fits the time of year that an artist with the name Ghostface Killah would be part of the evening's entertainment.  Ghostface Killah achieved hip-hop stardom with the Wu Tang Clan in the '90s.  Now he's a critically acclaimed solo rapper known for his loud, fast-paced flow, and his stream-of-consciousness narratives.  Mr. Killah will take the stage tonight at Toad's Place.  Tickets are $23.  The show starts at 9:30.

CLAMMY:  Celebrate your Columbus Day with an adventure to the Connecticut shoreline for a seafood extravaganza.  Mystic Seaport's Chowderfest is finishing up another year today.  You can stroll throught the village, enjoy the Fall air, the people watching, the shops and, oh year, all that chowder.  The clammy goodness also includes art projects, childrens activities, ane even a leaf peeping trip from the water aboard the steamboat Sabino.  The seaport is open from 9-5, and the dinner bell is ringing from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

MOVE OVER MOTOWN:  They've been called the 21st Century Temptations.  Head to the Wolf Den at Mohegan tonight to check out Next Movement.  The quartet brings the heartfelt charm of Motown to the stage with every song.  The group will be taking over the stage all week long for free shows at 7 p.m.
