11/18: Stand-up, Rock and Drama

HAVE TO GO SEE ABOUT A COMEDIAN:  From his days as Mork, to Mrs. Doubtfire and his Oscar-winning work in Good Will Hunting, Robin Williams has been entertaining audiences for more than 30 years.  And all that time he's also been one of the most popular stand-up comics in the biz.  Tonight, he's bringing his manic, hysterical stage show to Mohegan Sun Arena.  Tickets are $85, $105 and $135.  7:30pm.

THE METRIC SYSTEM:  No, it's not a show about world measurements.  Metric is one of the hardest working bands in indie-rock music.  The Toronto foursome is coming to the Webster Theatre in Hartford tonight to promote their latest effort, "Fantasies."  Their stage show promises to please, complete with video projection and a light show.  Tickets are $18.  7pm.

FAMILY SECRETS:  One of the most critically acclaimed dramas to hit the stage in recent years is making a stop at the Bushnell in Hartford right now.  "August: Osage County," is the Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize winning play that tells the story of Westons.  The extended family gathers in rural Oklahoma when their alcoholic patriarch disappears.  As they deal with the crisis, the clan has to confront unspoken truths and astonishing secrets about each other.  The show runs through this weekend.  Tickets range from $15.00-$65.00.  Click here for show-times and more info.
