HORROR SHOW: On stage and off, Rob Zombie is a master of the creepy and frightening. From his early days as frontman of White Zombie to his more recent days as a prominent horror filmmaker, Zombie has always been one of the most unique entertainers in the business. Tonight, he's bringing his first tour since 2007 to Mohegan Sun. And you can bet that he'll play some tracks from his upcoming album "Hellbilly Deluxe 2" (to be released sometime next year). Zombie will be joined by "psychobilly band Nekromantix and Captain Clegg & the Night Creatures. Tickets are $40. 7pm.
EATING ON THE RUN: Looking for a night out on the town, but can't decide on a place? The River Tavern and the brand new L&E Restaurant in Chester have teamed up to help make up your mind, by not making up your mind. It's called their Moveable Feast. The evening begins with a champagne and hors d'oeuvre stroll through some of Chester's shops. Then you can sink yourself into a five-course dinner at the two restaurants. It's $125 per person. DICKENS DRAMA: Starting tonight in Hartford, ghosts will soar, snow will fall and the accents will be thick. Learn the true meaning of the holiday season right along with old Ebenezer himself. The Hartford Stage is back with their annual performance of Charles Dickens' classic "A Christmas Carol." The show runs through December 30. Click here for performance times and ticket info.
PAGEANTRY: A lesser-known Christmas classic is hitting the stage at the Ivoryton Playhouse in Ivoryton. In "The Best Christmas Pageant Ever," a group of six wild and unruly children teach an entire community about the true meaning of the season (ever notice how many Christmas shows have a similar theme). Anyway, in the play, the kids decide they want be part of this year's pageant, much to the chagrin of the whole town, and especially the woman who's running the play. But when a curtain goes up, a miracle happens (you guessed it). It all turns into the best Christmas pageant ever. Tickets are $15-$25. The show runs through Dec. 13 with evening shows at 7:30 and weekend matinees at 2pm.
