VIVE LE FRANCE!:  We know you've had it marked on your calendars for months. but in case you forgot, it's Bastille Day! What?  You didn't know it was Bastille Day?!? You've never even heard of Bastille Day?!? How quickly we forget our 18th century French Revolutionary history. Anyway, look it up. For those in the know, we have the place for you tonight.  The Copper Beech Inn in Essex is celebrating with a special menu. Acclaimed chef Tyler Anderson will put together a French-Country style meal that honors the holiday. Dishes include a terrine of Foie Gras, Trout Amandine and File de Cochon. Click here for reservations.  Dinner begins at 5 p.m.

MUSICAL MEMORIES: The Talcott Mountain Music Festival continues tonight in Simsbury with "Time to Rock - From Doo Wop to Hip Hop." The Hartford Symphony Orchestra performs a live show of Rock & Roll's greatest hits, including songs from the Beach Boys, Gloria Estefan, Earth, Wind and Fire, the BeeGees and more.  Besides the music, kids can enjoy activities like face-painting, crafts, games and something called "The Instrument Zoo." Tickets are $25. The show starts at 7:30 p.m.

FESTIVAL EATS:  We know what you're thinking, fried food on a stick. But we're not talking about that kind of festival food. We're talking about some high-end eats to raise your enjoyment of the Talcott Mountain Music Festival. Head to Metro Bis in Simsbury (with friend of NBC Connecticut Chris Prosperi) for a special concert menu. You can either enjoy a delicious sit down meal or grab a boxed dinner to go. It's the perfect thing to get you in the mood to listen to some music.
