LOVE & LAUGHTER: Award-winning playwright JD Lawrence (no, that's not DH Lawrence), brings his new hit play Me & Mrs. Jones to the Palace Theater in Waterbury tonight. The show brings together the lives and stories of three women whose relationships have not always gone the way they had hoped. Lawrence, uses humor to give the audience a glimpse into the lives of these women. The show begins at 7:30 p.m.

FRIGHT NIGHT: It's considered one of the scariest movies of all time, and tonight you have a chance to see The Exorcist on the big screen. Sure Halloween is still a month away, but why not get in on the spooky themes a little early. It's the Director's Cut of the classic 1973 film about a possessed girl, which includes footage from the making of the movie. It's showing at the Showcase Cinemas Buckland Hills and the AMC Lowes in Plainville. Both shows begin at 7 p.m.

CONGRESSIONAL CALAMITY: Let's face it, who doesn't like to make fun of Congress? They'll be doing just that at the Bushnell tonight. Capitol Steps, a troupe of current and former Congressional staffers, give an inside (and hilarious) look at the halls of power in the nation's capital. The group monitors events in Washington and around the world and put their own, hysterical spin on them. The show starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $38.
