Four local bands were "Livin' on a Prayer" on Wednesday night in Farmington, but only one of them clinched the dream of a lifetime -- opening for Bon Jovi.
Article 19, Gone By Daylight, Light The City and Columbia Fields played in a battle of the bands contest at Murphy and Scarletti's, with hopes to "Runaway" with the grand prize or playing with the super-group at Mohegan Sun on Friday.
The event was hosted by 96.5TIC-FM and celebrity judges will picked the winner, Columbia Fields. The group has been together since 2002 and will get the chance to play a 30-minute set before Bon Jovi takes the stage.
Columbia Fields has also shared the national stage with The Backstreet Boys and The Fray. If you can't make it to Mohegan, you can hear Columbia Fields on their Web site.
