2/22: Monday Margarita Madness

TENGO TEQUILA? Okay, so this one isn't a specific event as much as it is an invitation, nay, a demand for some start of the week frivolity. Today is National Margarita Day. A celebration of a wonderful concoction filled with tequila, salt, limes and other taste-bud tingling ingredients. So, instead of telling you about one restaurant that has a special on Margaritas (but here are a couple), we say go forth and find your own Mexican restaurant, bar, cantina or Taco Bell (though that doesn't seem as likely) and enjoy a drink on what might one day be a holiday on par with the likes of Arbor Day and National Weatherpersons Day!

HAPPY MEALS: So, it's Monday, and hopefully you've spent the past two-and-a-half days enjoying all that Connecticut has to offer. And that likely means that your pockets are a little shallower than they were on Friday. Does that mean you should resort to mac and cheese or frozen pizza for dinner tonight? We say "Heck No!" Head to Farmington tonight to revel in the $16.95 meal deal at Brio Tuscan Grille inside Westfarms Mall. Brio will give you a taste of Tuscany for just $16.95 a person (we love clever names for promotions, don't you?) The meal includes a salad, entree and dessert.

In that same vein, think about a jaunt over to lovely South Windsor and Ted's Montana Grill at the Shoppes at Evergreen Walk. Ted's "Real Deal," dinner offers a three-course meal at a price that's perfect for your pocket book (or man purse, whatever you want to call it.) Selections include cedar plank salmon, "beer can" chicken or even bison meatloaf (just a little like mom used to make). Dinner costs about $15-$16.
