6/28: Hard Knoxx and Heartthrobs

MAMA SAID KNOXX YOU OUT: Back in 2001, Hard Knoxx exploded onto the CT music scene with their high-energy shows and party-hard attitude. And nine years later, the party is still going strong. Check out the band tonight at the Mohegan Sun Wolf Den. The 21+ free show starts at 7 p.m.

TOTAL ECLIPSE OF THE HEART: Admit it. Deep down, you're a Twilight superfan. You have pictures of Edward, Bella and Jacob plastered all over your bedroom walls. You waited in line for days to get your hands on all the books and you're drooling over the vampiric tales of love that await when "Eclipse" opens in theaters this week. No? Was that just us? Anyway, head over to West Hartford tonight, and you could be one of a select few to get a sneak peek at the new Twilight flick. Kiss 95.7 is hosting a special "red carpet" screening of "Eclipse" at the Bow-Tie Cinemas at Blue Back Square and 100 people will win their way onto the guest list on the spot. The event starts at 5:30 p.m., with plenty of Twilight fun. The movie starts at 7 p.m.

AND WE ALL SHINE DOWN: Every Monday night, like clockwork, or old faithful, the Shinolas hit the stage at Tapas Downtown in Hartford. The band brings you Americana and roots music as you chow down on Tapas' delectable delights. The Shinolas feature Jim Chapdelaine on guitars, Lorne Entress on drums, Paul Kochanski on bass and Ed Iarusso on pedal steel.
