9/14: Wine Anyone?

DISHES OF ART:  The New Britain Museum of American Art is the gathering place tonight for some of the best food, wine and art the state has to offer.  That's where you can find the "Art of Wine and Food," an annual event that features an evening of fine art, fine wine and a menu to attract foodies of all sorts.  Tonight's Honorary Chair is none other than celebrity chef Jacques Pépin, and other chefs featured include Chris Prosperi (Metro Bis), Billy Grant (Grant's) and Ryan Jones (the Mill at 2T).  Featured wines and Brescome Barton, Do Valle, Empson USA and Esprit du Vin.  And the entire evening, which also includes silent and live auctions, is set against a backdrop of the Museum's array of American Art.  Tickets are $175.  The evening starts at 5:30 p.m.

BON APETITO:  It's all about the Italian food tonight in Southington.  Head to Aziago's tonight to treat yourself to an old-country Italian feast.  You can enjoy the restaurant's four-course dinner for just $13.99.  The restaurant features all your favorites from pasta, to seafood and all the classic Italian entrees.  Dinner starts at 4:30 p.m.

SOUND THE ALARM:  For thirty years in the business, Welsh band "The Alarm" have pretty much seen and heard and played it all.  Some have even counted them among the best live acts to ever take the stage.  From adrenaline-filled acoustic rock played with a vengeance, to deft rock n' roll played from the heart, the Alarm's hold something special with lasting significance for their fans.  And after breaking up, the band is back together again, and they're on stage in CT tonight.  The Alarm is playing Infinity Hall in Norfolk.  Tickets are $35-$50.  the show starts at 8 p.m.
