It’s berry season at berry farms across the state.
At Rose’s Berry Farm in Glastonbury, blueberries and raspberries are available.
Lyman Orchards in Middlefield is celebrating berry season by hosting its annual berry festival on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Along with all the activities planned, it’s your chance to taste the unusual tangy-sweet Jostaberries.
There will be free food samples, pie-eating contests, pony rides, horse-drawn wagon rides, free face painting and entertainment.
CJ West & Great Train Band will perform country music live on the Apple Barrel deck, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
Blueberries and raspberries are also available at Ellsworth Hill Orchard & Berry Farm in Sharon, at Evergreen Berry Farm in Watertown, at Litchfield Hills Berry Farm in Plymouth, and several others.
