Meet the Woman Who Made Cocktail Glasses Pretty

Cocktail hour is more fun when your drink is served in a pretty glass, and Lolita Healey might be the queen of pretty glasses.

She’s the designer behind the “Love My Martini" glasses that you see in gift shops all over , and she will be in Connecticut later this month, if you’re looking for something to do on a girls’ night out.

Lolita’s inspiration was a Cosmopolitan during a night out with her girlfriends. The dull glass it came in did not do the pretty pink drink justice.

She began thinking about a solution to that and she came up with the idea of glasses, painted to be as pretty, or as fun, as what they contained – fun and feminine, and with a recipe on the bottom.

The glasses dress up the table, whether you imbibe or prefer alcohol-free choices. And, she has expanded to candles, paper products, bathrobes, beach towels and more.

On Friday, July 30, she will be hosting a meet-and-greet and merchandise signing at MGM Grand at Foxwoods.

Because it’s girls’ night out, everyone who goes will get a free boa – until they run out.

The event is free and runs from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
