Free Designer Gowns for Military Brides-to-Be

In celebration of Veterans Day, a West Hartford bridal store offered free gowns to military brides-to-be on Wednesday.

Camille Bridal Couture partnered with Brides Across America, a national wedding gown giveaway, for the special event. This was the only shop in the state participating, according to the Brides Across America Web site.

Any bride-to-be who is active-duty military or engaged to active-duty military could take advantage from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 10.

All military brides had to show ID, a copy of deployment papers, orders or other qualifying proof.
