It's Time for Timex

French Sole Setting up Shop in Greenwich and Wish List's Weak Appeal

TIME IS MONEY: We love the occasional throw-back watch, and we're just smitten with the J.Crew/Timex collaboration military watch, but a few days back at a party, a certain New York Mag editor's vintage Timex completely threw us through the loop. We loved those candy-colored Baby G-Shock digital watches when we were kids, but when we grew up to the land of Cartier and Movado, we just couldn't imagine going back to a rubber-wrapped watch that's actually easy to read. Nevertheless we're thrilled at the temporary fascination with the $40-something watch from Middlebury-based Timex, and we suggest you indulge as well. Find online or at your local Target.

GIMME SOME SOLE: We caught word that French Sole, the Manhattan-based ballet flats empire, will be making Greenwich their new home this Fall. We can't wait to flood our fall wardrobes in October with their coveted calfskin skimmers suitable for every demure or coquette woman out there. With soft but sturdy soles, flexible, foldable exterior (perfect for tucking into your handbag for a long Louboutin night out) in a variety of fabulous colors and supple leathers, faux ostrich and quilted cap toes included. And even better, Fairfield county fashionistas don't even have to worry about leaving the house -- the French Sole pink Smart Car will deliver your flats to your doorstep, free of charge (kinda - there's a 2 pair minimum).

WEEKLY WISH: Wish List must have caught wind of our love for flash sales and is now starting a "Wish of the Week" promotion, this week being a Michael Stars Striped Jersey Knit Scarf for $29, down from $38. Baby pink, lavender, sky blue, heather gray -- yeah, not really our cup of tea. But kudos on the marketing plan. How about next week we give a 25% discount on your amazing new collection of Current Elliott skinny jeans? Just a suggestion. Sign up on their website to receive the weekly newsletter announcement of the "Wish of the Week".  We've got our fingers crossed!
