    A truck hit a DOT truck in Wallingford on Friday morning, causing a backup for commuters who travel in the early morning.

    Interstate 91 Northbound in Wallingford has reopened after being congested for hours because of a crash.

    State police said a tractor-trailer hit a state Department of Transportation truck between exits 14 and 15.

    The crash happened just after 3 a.m. on Friday, according to an alert from the DOT, and traffic was backed up for miles.

    The road reopened around 6:40 a.m.
