The coldest weather of the season in expected Thursday morning, with a hard freeze in most towns. Temps will be in the middle to upper 20s in the coldest areas. It will be in the 30s at the shore with frost.

A freeze watch will go into effect along the shoreline Thursday morning, where the growing season hasn't ended yet.
