Winter Weather Advisory Thursday

Thursday Weather Blog

Good morning! Snow, sleet, and freezing rain are pushing across the state right now as a winter weather advisory remains in effect through the early afternoon.

Snowfall totals are starting to trickle in. We've seen around an inch in parts of the state.

The precipitation will turn to freezing rain and rain by late this morning, shutting off any additional snow accumulation, but causing continued-icy conditions.

We'll get a short break from the wintry weather before another round of snow moves across the state Saturday night and into Sunday morning.

This weekend's weather system could deliver heavier precipitation, mostly in the form of snow. The shoreline could mix with sleet, which may reduce snow totals. Parts of the state may see 6" of snow!

Here are the details on the weekend snow. It will begin after sunset Saturday and will last into Sunday morning. It looks like we'll be shoveling snow before the Big Game Sunday evening!

Another system is in the pipeline for next week. Busy times ahead!
