Temperatures will fall into the 50s tonight with mostly clear skies and calmer south winds. Some smoke from the New Jersey wildfires may make for a redder sunset tonight and sunrise tomorrow morning.

Southwest winds will propel temperatures into the 80s for most areas in Connecticut tomorrow. Areas along the shoreline will likely top out in the upper 60s and lower 70s for Friday. Clouds will increase through the day ahead of rain chances tomorrow night.

Rainfall could be moderate at times through late Friday night and Saturday. Even a few rumbles of thunder may be heard. Rain chances will decrease through Saturday evening and night.

While Saturday won't be a washout, it will be rather soggy. Many areas could pick up near an inch of rainfall from this event.

Sunday is dry, but windy and cooler. A northwest wind up to 40 miles per hour may make the temperature feel more like the 50s for a cooler end to the last weekend of April.

Temperatures will rebound back into the 70s by Monday, and we'll be back in the 80s for the last two days of April. The first day of May on Thursday should see highs in the 60s.
