NBC Connecticut Meteorologists have issued a First Alert for the threat of strong to severe thunderstorms with an advancing cold front.
Tuesday will start off partly sunny before showers and potentially a few thunderstorms arrive in the afternoon.
Storms that do develop could contain strong winds, hail, heavy rain and lightning. The Storm Prediction Center has issued a low risk for severe weather for Connecticut.
