NBC Connecticut Meteorologists have issued a First Alert for extreme cold on New Year's Eve.
High temperatures on New Year's Eve will range 10 to 17 degrees. Winds will increase throughout the afternoon which will result in below normal wind chill values for much of the evening and overnight hours.
