Temperature Hits 90 in Parts of Connecticut

Temperatures climb into the middle 80s...

There were some snowflakes in parts of Connecticut Monday, but the sun is shining today and temperatures have reached the high-80s in parts of the state.

Temperatures could even come close to breaking the daily high-temperature record for the day. The temperature reached 90 degrees at Bradley Airport Wednesday afternoon. The record for today of 93 was set in 2001.

Wednesday High Temperatures

It will be a beautiful day to head to the beaches however, temperatures will be considerably cooler with an afternoon sea-breeze. 

Temperatures along the shoreline will run a good 10 to 15 degrees cooler than inland areas.

Wednesday will remain dry with an increased thunderstorm threat by Thursday.

A decent amount of instability and wind shear will be present. This will allow any thunderstorm that does form to become strong or even severe.
