Light Snow Falling Across State

Light snow began falling for most of the state on Tuesday and some school districts have already decided to dismiss early.

The fringe of a storm system is bringing a rain/snow mix to the shoreline and up to 2 inches on grassy surfaces inland.

Snow started falling in western Connecticut around daybreak and spread across most of the rest of the state by 9:30 a.m. Flakes will continue falling at a light to moderate intensity for much of the day.

This should be a low-impact, nuisance variety system with wet roads and parking lots.

Fair and cold weather returns on Wednesday.
