The season's first winter storm is causing problems on the roads and delaying or closing more than 100 schools and businesses.
Most of the storm is over, though there can be a lingering shower this afternoon.
The mix made roads slick and state police have responded to 54 crashes across the state since midnight. For updates through the morning, follow Heidi Voight on Twitter.
Temperatures will hover in the 30s inland but sneak into the lower 40s near the water.
Any slush and water will freeze tonight, so clearing it away this afternoon is recommended. It will not melt in most cases.
Tomorrow's a much better day in that the roads will be much easier to drive on, though more clouds then sunshine are expected. Showers will move in late with high temperatures in the lower and middle 40s.
The colder weather at night has proved beneficial for local ski areas. Ski Sundown's first night of snowmaking was very successful, according to a Facebook post on their page.
