NBC Connecticut Meteorologists are tracking snow squalls through the afternoon and into the early evening.
These snow squalls will bring a brief period of moderate to heavy snow with gusty winds.
A few towns could see a quick coating to as much as an inch of snow.
The weekend forecast looks quite pleasant with partly cloudy skies on Saturday and mostly sunny skies for Sunday. Highs will range from the low to middle 40s for both Saturday and Sunday.
The storm system we have been monitoring for Monday continues to trend out to sea which would mean little if any impact here in Connecticut.
Stay with the NBC Connecticut First Alert Weather Team for updates throughout the evening and into the weekend.
